After driving past it a number of times as I came into Conway, I finally ventured over to Two Rivers Park, off the Cantrell exit in Little Rock. I was not disappointed. You take a footbridge over the Maumelle River to a beautiful wooded river island with tons of paved walking paths, picnic tables and benches. Even space to fly a kite, though I saw the remains of a couple of them in the trees. I’ve had fun playing with a loaner fisheye lens. It gets pretty addictive after awhile. I’d seen others attempt a shot like this before and I always wanted to try it. I tried giving it a little different treatment in photoshop (Gaussian blur layer set to overlay and then dialing down the opacity – can’t decide if I like it or not). I tend to try and keep things pretty natural for the shots I take with my SLR, but then I see the way other people are able to really get their work to pop and then I want to do that too. Anybody got some good suggestions on a class or program, or even some good tutorials, I’m all ears.
