We took a drive out to Petit Jean on Sunday for lunch a look at the mountain, but I knew as soon as I walked outside that the light wasn’t going to cooperate to give me the best of what Petit Jean had to offer. But we weren’t out there for Golden Hour anyway, and the misty grayness was pleasant in a moody way. And I probably wouldn’t have gotten a shot to look this good in the early afternoon had the sun been out. So taking lemons and making lemonade, as far as this shot is concerned. I tried to capture that misty moody feel, but this was the best I got. This was taken from the gravesite overlook toward the big bend of the Arkansas River.
