Coley was one of the first friends I made when I came to this part of the Metroplex and he’s remained one of my closest friends, and now my roommate. We met at a Village Church home group maybe 8 or 9 years ago. He’s quiet and friendly and laid-back, and he’s got a East Texas accent (I call it “Parisian”) that’s as thick as a chicken fried steak; at least probably until you go to East Texas – he tells me his accent is refined quite a bit compared to other folks out there. But don’t let that fool you. He’s smart as a whip, a voracious reader with a keen insight. And he’s prayerful and humble and honest. I’m glad he tolerates me enough to be my friend. Honestly, he’s one of the best men I know.

I made this photo in downtown Santa Fe on a road trip we took shortly after moving in together this past summer. The golden hour light works really well with the Longhorn orange. At least I think so.

Got a few more of Coley that I edited for him today that I might share. Stay tuned.
