  2. I read an article in the Smithsonian about 3 decades ago that spoke of this lovely chapel in the Ozarks. It did not identify the location or the name of the chapel, which looking back I am surprised at the lack of detail. Perhaps I am just experiencing faulty memory; however the images from that article were as stunning as yours. They were captured in the springtime so the pink Dogwood trees peeked through the outstanding windows of this Memorial Chapel. Thank you.

  3. Thanks Deb… I shot these about a week ago, so no Dogwood blossoms, but I’ll keep that in mind for a return trip. I’ve got several more shots that I’m looking through so there may be a few more coming.
If you like the Cooper Chapel, you should also check out Thorncrown in Eureka Springs, also an E. Fay Jones design and the recently-discovered-by-me “Stoneflower” cottage in Heber Springs, Ark. You can actually rent the cottage overnight for around $200.

  4. i love love love this! What a fun day! i wanna get married in this chapel one day!
